The speedy 2-year-old filly Long Neck Paula (Uncle Mo–Take Charge Paula, by Take Charge Indy) broke her maiden at first asking and earned a ‘TDN Rising Star’ for her effort at Churchill Downs on Thursday afternoon.

Exiting the outside gate, the 3-1 favorite rocketed to the lead and held sway around the far turn. Long Neck Paula heard a few footsteps behind her down the lane, but she kept to the task and won by three lengths over fellow firster Minty (McKinzie).

The final running time was :51.56.

Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0. Sales History: $325,000 Ylg ’23 KEESEP; $500,000 2yo ’24 OBSMAR.
