My Mane Squeeze (f, 3, Audible–In Spite of Mama, by Speightstown), a three-time stakes winner versus fellow New York-breds, became the second graded winner for second-crop sire Audible with a win in Friday’s GII Eight Belles S. at Churchill Downs. ‘TDN Rising Star’ Impel (Quality Road) was second; Asternia (Astern {Aus}) was third. Heavily favored Denim and Pearls (Into Mischief) failed to fire.

Off at odds of 6-1, My Mane Squeeze, a last out eighth as the favorite in Oaklawn’s GII Fantasy S. Mar. 30, chased the early leaders in an outside fifth, hit the gas with a three-wide move on the far turn and powered clear in the stretch to win by two lengths.

The final time for seven furlongs was 1:22.85.

Lifetime Record: 8-5-0-2.
